On August 21, 2026, Cedar Valley High School leaders and students gathered together in the gymnasium for a high-energy pep rally assembly, where representatives from QTS Data Centers presented a $10,000 donation.
The funds will be used right away to purchase new science equipment for Cedar Valley High School students.
Expanding Hands-On STEM and Laboratory Experiences
“The equipment will expand opportunities for Cedar Valley High School students to participate in engaging, hands-on science lessons, laboratory experiences, and STEM-focused learning,” said Jarom Becar, principal of Cedar Valley High School.
“Teachers are excited to use the new resources to help students explore topics ranging from physical science, chemistry, and oceanography to biological systems and the natural world,” Becar said.
This contribution will directly support diverse laboratory experiments in zoology, including squid, clams, starfish, crayfish, worms, sharks, fish and frogs. The school also has plans to expand 3D printing labs and materials for student development.

“We are incredibly grateful to QTS for their generous $10,000 investment in our students,” said Julie King, Alpine School District Board of Education president.
“This contribution directly expands the learning opportunities available at Cedar Valley High School,” King said. “Strong community partnerships like this ensure our students are well-prepared for high-demand, technology-driven careers,” King added.
Connecting Local Industry to Classroom Needs
QTS Data Centers provides data center infrastructure solutions with facilities in Eagle Mountain.
